Preview your LinkedIn post before publishing

Paste a draft to see how its paragraphs, emoji, URLs, mentions, and hashtags fit inside a LinkedIn-style post. Switch between desktop and mobile to catch awkward wrapping before you publish.

You can also add local images or create a link-card preview from details you enter. Nothing is published, and your draft, profile details, and media stay in your browser.

Keep your key lines above “... more”

LinkedIn does not use one dependable character count for the cutoff. Screen width, paragraph breaks, long links, media, and platform updates can all change where “... more” appears.

Lead with the point.Make the topic clear before the rest of the post is hidden.

Preview both widths.A line that fits on desktop may wrap earlier on mobile.

Break up dense text.Short paragraphs make longer posts easier to scan.

Preview images and link cards

Add local images to check their order, orientation, and how the first image leads the post. Remember to add useful alternative text in LinkedIn for every image that carries meaning.

For links, enter the title, description, site name, and optional image you expect to see. This tool does not visit the URL. LinkedIn builds the live card from the page's sharing metadata, so the published preview may differ.

What this LinkedIn preview can—and can't—match

This tool is built for comparing layouts, not reproducing LinkedIn pixel for pixel. It uses the post-card width and text height to estimate where “... more” could appear, while the character total uses LinkedIn's 3,000-character limit as a guide. Fonts, account settings, experiments, and unusual emoji sequences can still change the live result, so check LinkedIn's composer before publishing.

LinkedIn post preview FAQs

Can I preview a LinkedIn post before publishing?

Yes. Paste your draft to compare its opening, line breaks, and collapsed view on desktop and mobile. Copy the same text into LinkedIn for a final check before publishing.

Will the preview look exactly the same on LinkedIn?

No. LinkedIn can change wrapping and the collapsed opening by viewport, fonts, account state, experiments, and product updates. This preview is a practical approximation, not a pixel-perfect guarantee.

Where will LinkedIn show “... more” on my post?

There is no dependable character count for the cutoff. Screen width, paragraph breaks, long links, media, fonts, and LinkedIn updates can all change where “... more” appears.

Do my draft and images get uploaded?

No. The draft, profile details, images, avatar, and link-card image stay in this browser. The tool does not save them or send them to Social Tools List.

Why is my LinkedIn link preview different or missing?

This tool uses only the card details you enter and does not fetch the destination. LinkedIn reads a page's sharing metadata and may cache it; its Post Inspector can refresh that metadata for new posts.
